Why Shine exists
Shine began with a simple idea: the best lessons should not stay hidden inside years of trial and error. We are six editors bringing together the techniques, habits, mistakes, and breakthroughs that shaped our own work—then turning them into a clearer path for whoever comes next.
Shine is a practical home for After Effects education—courses, focused tutorials, project files, and a community built around actually making things. Every lesson is shaped by working editors who understand where beginners get stuck and what makes a technique useful in real work.
The six of us learned through years of experimenting, restarting, sharing files, and figuring out the parts most tutorials skipped. We wanted to gather those lessons in one place, explain the reasoning behind the choices, and give new editors a clearer path than the one we had.
Our goal is to help build a generation of editors who are technically strong, creatively confident, and generous with what they know. Shine will keep growing with new lessons, honest feedback, useful resources, and a community where improvement feels exciting instead of overwhelming.
